Found Sound China is a music diplomacy fellowship by Found Sound Nation that brings together 6 music producers -- 3 from the U.S. and 3 from China -- for a month of sound collection and collaborative music production. As commercial hip hop and electronic music are currently experiencing unprecedented popularity in China, Found Sound China seeks to promote a DIY music production aesthetic inspired by creative traditions ranging from hip hop to experimental sound art.

Program Timeline
July 1 - July 8: OPENING RESIDENCY -- Workshops and orientation in Lijiang, Yunnan.
July 9 - July 23: TRAVELING RESIDENCY -- Travel through separate regions of China and make music in pairs.
July 24 - July 29: CLOSING RESIDENCY -- Performances and post-production in Beijing.
